How to Build Right: Parts Compatibility and What Matters

Not all parts are equal. A good LPK has MIM parts that are properly heat-treated—avoid soft, out-of-spec pins or triggers. UPKs need a well-machined channel liner and a recoil spring that matches your slide weight. For slides, optic cuts should be to spec (RMR, Holosun, etc.) and properly depth-milled. A slide with front and rear serrations is easier to manipulate. When choosing a barrel, match the caliber to your frame—don't try to convert a 9mm to .40 without knowing the ejector and extractor differences.
